Skills- and knowledge-based quizzes will be given weekly and will make up a significant portion of your grade in the course. In most cases, you will be asked to complete a short movie that demonstrates the techniques covered in class that week. If you miss a quiz because of an unexcused absence, you will not be able to make it up.

The quiz format will vary. Most will consist of hands-on exercises in FCX. Some will be GA View quizzes and will include short answer, fill in the blank, paragraph, and/or multiple choice questions.
Opening and saving quizzes
Important: Before beginning each quiz, you must complete the following steps:
- Control+click the link to the appropriate quiz file on this page;
- Select "Save As" from the file menu;
- Navigate to your folder on the external drive;
- Change the name of your copy to <YourLastName 4450 #.fcp>. For example Mary Smith's fifth quiz file would be called "Smith 4450 5.fcp";
- Save the file into into your "Quizzes" folder on the external drive.
Submitting your quiz files
At the end of the quiz, you should submit the edit file via the Drop Box. I only need only the edit file; please do not attempt to submit any video or audio files, since this will tie up and possibly crash the server.
