Quizzes
Quizzes on the readings and screenings will be given approximately once a week. Some will be on WebCT and will be completed outside of class. Some will be taken in class at the beginning of the period.The format will vary, including short answer, fill in the blank, paragraph, multiple choice, etc.
If you miss a quiz because of an unexcused absence, you will not be able to make it up. Similarly, if you fail to take a WebCT quiz during the required timeframe, you will not be able to take it at a later time.
At the end of the term, I will total the raw scores of points earned on all the quizzes. I will divide this raw score by a divisor that will give the highest scoring student an "A" (90 percent or above). The same divisor will be used for all students.
